ISTANBUL AIRPORT

TURKISH INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (ALSO CALLED AS ISTANBUL AIRPORT)
Turkey is also known as the Republic of Turkey. It is surrounded by eight countries. Iraq and Syria lies to the west, Georgia to the northeast, Armenia and Iran with Azerbaijan to the east and Greece and Bulgaria to the northwest. The official language of Turkey is Turkish. Ankara is the capital city of Turkey whereas Istanbul is the largest city of the country. The ethnic groups are Turks, Kurds, Arabs, Laz including various other tribes. The total area of Turkey is 783,356 sq. km.
Ataturk International Airport and Sabiha Gokcen Airport are the two international airports located in Istanbul and currently On October of 2018, the largest international airport in world was inaugurated with first flight on 31st October 2018.
So, in this blog we are going to discuss about the newly opened largest airport ever built, known as the Istanbul Airport. Due to the air traffic congestion, this airport was planned to be built. Formerly Ataturk International Airport was the main international airport of the country which is still the main as the Istanbul Airport is still in construction phase. So, the Ataturk airport is one of the busiest airports in the Europe and also additional runways cannot be built as the airport is surrounded on all sides by other residential structures. There are some aircrafts that are based on Sahiba Gokcen Airport which already has reached its own maximum terminal capacity. So, there was the need of other international airport other than these two airports.
LOCATION
The new Istanbul Airport is located in the intersection of Arnavutkoy, Gokturk and Catalca, north of the Istanbul city centre and between the Black Sea coast towns of Yenikoy, Tayakadin and Akpinar. The distance between the existing Ataturk International Airport and the new Istanbul Airport will be approximately 35 km. The airport will have the capacity of 90 million passengers after the first phase is completed and it could be expanded up to 150 million passengers’ capacity for the first phase. After the completion of all phase the airport will have the capacity of 200 million passengers annually.

The cost of the whole project is estimated up to 7 billion Euros. After the final completion of all phases of the airport, this airport will be the largest airport in the world.
AREAS AND CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS
Nearly 6,172 hectares was state owned forest area. The area of the construction site is 3,500,000 cubic meters.  The main terminal occupies the area of 1,300,000 cubic meters. The shops and the restaurants occupy the area of 1,000,000 meters square.  There are seven entrances and 300 flight destinations all over the world.  The most attracting aspect about this airport is its beautiful and magnificent architecture and designs. There are robot guides for the passengers. The attracting part is the Air Traffic Control Tower which has the most glamorous architecture and designed by Pinnifarina and Aecorn.

The airport builders rely on BOMAG COMPACTION TECHNOLOGY, supports and services. 20 rollers are working on one fill area up to 7 fill areas on job site working on 800,000 cubic meters per day. The working hours are up to 20 hours a day and 7 days a week. The layers that are compacted on the site are 400 mm thick each. Four BW 226 pad foot rollers and one BW 226 smooth drum roller are operated in circle and row. The amount of concrete that is used to build terminal building is 1,000,000 cubic meters. 180,000 tons of ferrous reinforcements are used in terminal buildings.
For now there are only four runways in use after the inauguration but the total number of planned runways to be built is 6. The construction process was carried out by 58 Liebherr Tower Cranes. Nearly 30, 000 employees were working for the construction process.
The construction process of this airport was started in May 2015 and the first phase was completed on October 29, 2018. The whole project is targeted to complete by 2030.
OTHER ASPECTS
According to the Environmental Impact of Assessment Report on April, 2013, there were 2,513,341 trees and 657,950 of them are needed to be cut down while 1,855,391 trees are needed to be moved to the next place. It has come to the report that workers and employees have died during the construction process of the airport and their families are paid off to keep things hidden. Beside this, there were lots of controversies about the tender process and the money that went un noticed.

NOTE: Discrimination and choices are two completely different things. Discrimination may have choices but choices do not have discrimination. It is never my intention to hurt someone's feeling, emotions and pride. Above material is solely just for entertainment purpose only and should be taken light heartedly.
Finally we all are humans. Humans have different physical forms and mental forms and should be respected no matter what. Abusing in any form whether it be verbal, emotional or physical surely is a criminal act that deserves serious attention with punishment. In other hand, jokes and comedy are completely different things which should exist within the circle of loved and near ones and can be extended to some extent beyond the limits but surely we need to be conscious towards the fact that our loved ones are not hurt by our words and actions. Peace, love and respect should not be destroyed to the extent that it becomes impossible to repair or rebuild.
